Baptist Home Missions was started in 1969 by Dr. Walter Kirk and Dr. Otis Holmes for the purpose of planting churches in the continental United States. Since its beginning BHM has partnered with sending churches in assisting their “home” missionaries to plant, revitalize, and strengthen Independent Baptist Churches.

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT

Our purpose is to establish, maintain, and revitalize local New Testament Independent Baptist church planting and development. We are local church based and will cooperate with the sending church of the missionary as approved by the board.

We are committed to the local church.
